49th Annual Arts & Festival
You’ll be dazzled by the one-of-a-kind crafts and artistic creations on display at the 49th Annual Arts & Crafts Festival. Held at the Lubbock Municipal Garden & Arts Center on Saturday, September 14, the free event runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The creative event has inspired approximately 6,000 to 8,000 guests each year.
October is the perfect time to raise a pint, and Oktoberfest presented by Bier Haus in Lubbock is the perfect venue for raising a pint or two. Scheduled for Thursday, October 24, through Sunday, October 27, the festival will feature a range of Oktoberfest and German beers on draft. Favored treats from last year — pretzels, sauerkraut pitas and sausage on a stick — will make an appearance at this year’s celebration. Live musical performances will again be a feature of this highly-anticipated event.
8th Annual West Texas Latino Artist Art Show & Dia de Los Muertos Celebracion
The 8th Annual West Texas Latino Artist Art Show & Dia de Los Muertos Celebracion, set for Sunday, November 3, celebrates Latino art and culture. The event, designed to inspire cultural awareness and understanding, will feature a Dia de Los Muertos-themed cake decorating contest, live performances, a car exhibit and activities specifically for kids. The event will run from 12-5 p.m.
40th Annual Holiday Happening
For five days, November 20-24, the Junior League of Lubbock will present its annual holiday bazaar. Overflowing with more than 150 merchants, Holiday Happening is the main fundraising effort of the organization, and is a festive, fun and philanthropic way to get into the season of giving.
